Membership

There is no formal membership requirements in NYSA. If you are on the mailing list, and you attend meetings, you are a member.

What do we do?

We meet once a month (hopefully) on the second Wednesday of the month. The meetings generally have a speaker on an interesting topic, followed by general discussion sessions, where any and all topics are discussed. Typically, we'll all head out to a bar afterwards.

What can you do to help?

We are always looking for the following:
  • People willing to speak on topics of interest to Systems Administrators.
  • People willing to find (and convince) people to do interesting talks.
  • Organizations willing to provide space (must seat 30+) for a monthly meeting(s).
